Rell Sunn
Known as the “Queen of Makaha,” the late Rell Sunn was one of the most influential women surfers of the modern era. An all-around water-person, Rell’s surfing fused grace and power. She surfed the planet as a professional competitive surfer, and was one of the most respected free surfers in the world. A true daughter of Hawaii, Rell lived the aloha spirit. While cancer claimed her physical life, her presence can still be felt in the line-up of her beloved Makaha.
